After the new international terminal was opened, the existing domestic terminal could not keep up with the passenger traffic, as the space utilization efficiency was low. After conducting an initial assessment of the construction of the domestic terminal, AYD provided architectural solutions by connecting the domestic terminal to the international terminal seamlessly whilst continuing the design and development of the international terminal. The concept establishes a complete image for the Taichung International Airport.

臺灣中部國際機場國際航廈啟用後，國際及兩岸旅客運量迅速增加，日漸趨於飽和，而既有國內航廈外觀與國際航廈不能匹配，空間利用效率低下。AYD 為國內航廈整建進行先期評估後，再繼續為既有航廈整建工程提供建築設計服務，延續國際航廈的設計發想，重新打造既有航廈的外觀和室內，為航空站未來擴容提供可行性。
